Fitness Kickboxing classes instructed by The Bee at the Plymouth Cultural Center (fall thru spring, Wednesday evenings)
A common misconception about Fitness Kickboxing is that you have to kick high. This is not true. You can gain the same results of this exercise even if you keep your kicks low.
My late friend, Sensei Tim would to say "Take down the transportation", meaning you should aim no higher than the hip with a kick.
Fitness Kickboxing is a full-body workout blending aerobic-style classes with traditional self-defense and kickboxing techniques. It’s energizing, powerful and uplifting! Fitness Kickboxing was rated as the number one fat burner by Muscle and Fitness magazine (700-800 calories burned per class). You’ll increase muscle tone, flexibility and coordination as you lose weight and release stress. Plus, I will teach you proper punching and kicking techniques, providing you with safe and effective guidance as your fitness skill level and confidence increases. I was fortunate to have such a magnificent teacher. Tim passed peacefully at his home in Westland, MI. I will always miss you, Sensei.
